It’s me, hi! I’m the baker – it’s me!

Originally from a small village in Somerset, I relocated to Cumbria over 18 years ago on a whim... and just never left! Now I live by the sea in beautiful Arnside with my husband, our four amazing children, and our little pooch Marley 🐾

After running a much-loved beachside café, I decided it was time for a change – something that offered a better work/life balance and more time to make memories while my children are still young. And so, Hey There Sugar was born.

I set up a second kitchen right in my own home, where I handcraft every bake to the highest standard, always mindful of allergen requirements and dietary needs. A year on, I’m proudly supplying five wholesale clients, baking celebration cakes weekly, and popping up at events and markets across the South Lakes.

Now in 2025, Hey There Sugar has grown even more – expanding into weddings, corporate orders, and launching a brand-new online store!
